Asian Lettuce Wraps

MEAT

1 lb. ground beef

PRODUCE

3 Garlic Cloves (minced) 1 TBSP Ginger (minced) 2 Green Onions (sliced) 2 Heads Butter/Bibb Lettuce

OPTIONAL GARNISHES

Cucumbers (diced) Shredded Carrots Lime Wedges Mint Cilantro Serrano/Jalapeno Peppers (sliced or chopped)

BAKING AND SPICES

1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes 2 TBSP Sesame Seeds

OIL AND VINEGAR

1 TBSP Rice wine vinegar 1 tsp Sesame oil 1 TBSP Soy Sauce/Coconut Aminos 4 TBSP Hoisin Sauce 1 TBSP Avocado Oil

OPTIONAL:

Chili Sauce (to taste)

OTHER

1-8oz can of water chestnuts (drained and chopped)

Step 1:

Sauté ground beef in 1 TBSP avocado oil and soy sauce. Cook for 4 minutes.

Step 2:

Add minced garlic, minced ginger, red pepper flakes, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, and hoisin sauce to the meat. Cook for 4 more minutes then remove from heat.

Step 3:

Toss the water chestnuts into the meat until evenly coated.

Step 4:

Scoop meat mixture into bibb lettuce leaves Sprinkle with sesame seeds and plate.

Step 5:

Garnish with ingredients of your choice, I personally love them all!

Step 6: (optional)

Drizzle with a mix of 2 TBSP hoisin, 1 tsp chili sauce, 1 tsp sesame oil and 1 tsp rice wine vinegar
